Abstract

This work presents the development of an embedded device, as part of a home automation system. For its implementation, a feasibility study was carried out, where the necessary functionalities for the software were selected to control other devices via infrared light emission and commands through relays. The device is handled without any physical contact, as the commands are received via hand gestures. The software is being developed with the application of current technologies, such as the C ++ language and the Arduino IDE. One of the benefits, through its use, was the peculiar way of carrying out the action of controlling a device at a distance, such as a TV, without physical contact, or even turning on and off other devices connected to the system relays, via mobile application.
